Common questions

Who can participate?
Any active TraitLab Plus member. Generate a referral code from the Referrals section of your account settings to get started.
How much do I earn per referral?
You earn a 20% reward on every TraitLab Plus purchase made by a user who signed up through your referral link.
What discount do referred users receive?
Referred users get 20% off their TraitLab Plus purchase at checkout — automatically applied when they arrive via your link.
How do I get paid?
Payments go through PayPal. Set your PayPal email in the Referrals section of account settings. Payouts are processed at the end of each month.
When do I receive my rewards?
Rewards become eligible 30 days after the referred user purchases (to cover refunds and verification). You need at least $25 in eligible rewards to receive a payout; amounts below that carry over to the next month.
Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?
No limit. Refer as many people as you'd like, as long as you follow the program terms.
Can I see my referral statistics?
Yes — your Referrals dashboard in account settings shows total signups, purchases, pending rewards, and paid rewards.
Can I use my referral link in paid advertising?
No. Paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEM, etc.) is not permitted and will result in termination from the program.
What if I don't have a PayPal account?
A PayPal account is required for payouts. You can create one for free at PayPal.com.

Program terms

The fine print

By participating in the referral program, you agree to the following terms.

Prohibited activities

These result in immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid rewards:

  • Self-referrals: Referring yourself or using your link to create accounts for your own benefit.
  • Fraudulent activity: Gaming the system, creating fake accounts, or generating fake referrals.
  • Paid advertising: Using your referral link in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or any paid promotion.
  • Misleading representation: Implying you're acting in an official capacity on behalf of TraitLab.
  • Spam and abuse: Mass emailing, spamming, or other abusive promotional practices.

Payment rules

  • All payments are made through PayPal and require a valid PayPal email.
  • Payouts are processed at the end of each month.
  • Rewards must be at least 30 days old to be eligible for payout.
  • A $25 minimum is required for payout; amounts below carry over.
  • TraitLab may delay or withhold payments pending investigation of suspicious activity.
  • Rewards earned through terms violations will not be paid.

Program changes and termination

  • TraitLab may modify or terminate the program at any time without prior notice.
  • Reward rates, discounts, and terms may change at TraitLab's discretion.
  • Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
  • TraitLab may terminate any referral account at any time; upon termination, unpaid rewards are forfeited.

General

  • The program is available only to TraitLab Plus members in good standing.
  • You are responsible for any tax obligations on reward payments.
  • These terms supplement TraitLab's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
